I am going to be honest with you all: I am sick of hearing about the infamous Mangle/Funtime Foxy gender debate.
Confused? Let me explain:
Scott's answer, which most of us know is "Yes," is basically the point. Its an indirect answer. Still confused? Google "Mathematician's Answer" to understand this more.
Anyways, moving on. Scott answered "Yes" as an answer indirectly because it can answer the whole thing. What I mean is that it can possibly mean "Yes, Mangle/Funtime Foxy is male," "Yes, Mangle/Funtime Foxy is female," or maybe even "Yes, Mangle/Funtime Foxy is genderless." In addition, it could even mean "Yes, Mangle/Funtime Foxy is of ambigous gender," meaning it's up to the PLAYER to determine the gender (what they believe it would be.)
Scott said "Yes" as the answer for a reason. Applying more thought to it makes it more understandable; common sense won't work in this kind of scenario.
Although animatronics themselves have no gender, it goes down to the character's personality and the robot's voice box to determine the gender; just because the characters don't have privates (I cannot say what they are actually called because i have received a warning about this), doesn't mean their personality and voice box don't matter.
Freddy has a male personality and voice box, so we obviously know all Freddy counterparts are male. Same applies to Bonnie and his counterparts. Again, same applies to Foxy and his counterparts. Chica, however, has a female personality and voice box, so all of her counterparts including her are female.
Everyone want each side's evidence for the Mangle/Funtime Foxy Debate? Here ya go:
Male: called "he" by Phone Guy, Scott said none of the toys' genders are different, present Mangle/Funtime Foxy's pose might actually be male-like.
Female: in Custom Challenge "Ladies Night," along with W. Chica and T. Chica, wearing lipstick and makeup, Funtime Foxy (who is possibly Toy Foxy) has sort of a feminine pose as we see in FNaF World.
Wait! If Mangle/Funtime Foxy is wearing makeup, does that mean T. Bonnie is female too because he has makeup on? NO. Also, for the whole infamous "Ladies Night" challenge, numerous players have encountered W. FOXY at some point during the night. I, honestly, have myself.
Anyways, now here's what I used to believe:
Genderless: neither side has sufficient evidence, Mangle/Funtime Foxy's personality is completely unknown, along with the voice box, "Adventure Funtime Foxy" is the only version we have of an intact Mangle/Toy Foxy.
My new belief is now this:
Ambigous Gender: Mangle/Funtime Foxy might have been what the player's belief was the whole time. Thinking about Frisk and Chara from UNDERTALE, who both are of ambigous gender, Mangle/Funtime Foxy might be exactly like them.
I used to think Mangle/Funtime Foxy was genderless, then I changed my mind and thought they were genderfluid (which someone then corrected me that Christians wouldn't ever create genderfluid characters). The closest I can get now is that this character is of ambiguous gender.
There you have it. I shall now be taken away by the Ducks of the species "BONUS."
